To raise awarness about the Van Elslander  Cancer Center, the Valade Healing Arts Center, the beautiful meditation garden & labyrinth 
open to the community. 
Goals

  • There have been over 400 vistis to the Candle Labyrinth Page  since it was created in January of 2006.

  • An estimate  150 people attended the event .

  • A large number (who could not attend)  supported the event .

To raise dollars for the fund  that  allows the Valade Healing Arts Center, to provide integrative care
 (massage, reiki, reflexology etc.).  People were invited to sponsor the over 1000 lights at $1 per light.

  • We collected  $500. at the event

To create an event that would bring people together in community.
It was magical!

People came from as far as Mt. Pleasant, Ann Arbor, Brighton and Howell.  Our labyrinth was lit from around the world with Labyrinth Lighters sponsers from  Hawaii, Colorado, Florida, Texas, New Mexico, and even the UK!  

In attendance were  Doctors, Artists, Musicians, Nurses, Message Therapist,  counselors,  children, retirees, men , women, newspaper reports, photographers, administratiors,  members of the Labyrinth Society,  spiritual leaders, teachers,  lawyers, lab technicians,   cancer survivors, prayer warriors, and just plain beautiful people!

Provide and sell prayer candle kits .
Purchase a kit & decorate your candle as a prayer .  Bring your decorated candle to the  Candle Labyrinth 

  • 96 prayer candle kits were prapared. 

  • Proceeds from sales supported the costs associated with the event

  • Prayer candle kits are still on sale at the center and through Spirit ConnecXions
